Four quadrants, ready to use
Most graph paper leaves you to draw your own axes, which wastes time and rarely lands on a clean centre. Here the origin is exactly at the middle of the page, both axes are drawn heavy, and the ticks are numbered outward in both directions. For homework involving negative coordinates this removes the most error-prone step.
Numbers are real text, not drawings
The tick labels are set in the PDF as actual text rather than vector outlines, so they stay crisp at any zoom, can be selected and searched, and remain legible when the sheet is scanned or photocopied. Turn them off if you would rather label the axes yourself.
Setting the tick interval
By default a number appears every fifth square. Switch on major lines and change the interval to control both the heavier gridlines and the numbering together — they are deliberately tied, so the numbered ticks always fall on a heavy line and never in the middle of a light one.
Printing it accurately
This only measures correctly if your printer doesn't rescale the page. In the print dialog set Scale: 100% — not "Fit to page" or "Shrink oversized pages". If you're not sure it worked, print the calibration page, measure the ruler on it with a real ruler, and it will tell you exactly what your printer is doing to the page.
