No line, on purpose
Every other checklist here has a writing line because handwriting drifts without one. Grocery items are the exception: they are short enough to sit on their own, and the ruled line mostly gets in the way when you want to squeeze "milk (oat)" into a row. If you would rather have the line, the setting is right there in the generator; this page just starts without it.
Group it by the shop, not by food type
Most printed grocery templates come pre-grouped into dairy, produce, frozen, and so on, which matches how food is categorized and not how any particular shop is laid out. A blank list lets you write the headings in your own aisle order, so you walk the shop once instead of doubling back. That is worth more than any pre-printed structure, and it is why this sheet ships empty.
Checkboxes beat crossing out
Crossing out an item on a scrap of paper destroys it, so you cannot tell later whether you skipped the item deliberately or missed it. A ticked box leaves the word readable, which matters at the till when you are working out whether you actually got everything. Same reasoning as the packing list, for the same reason.
Printing it accurately
This only measures correctly if your printer doesn't rescale the page. In the print dialog set Scale: 100%, not "Fit to page" or "Shrink oversized pages". If you're not sure it worked, print the calibration page, measure the ruler on it with a real ruler, and it will tell you exactly what your printer is doing to the page.
