Stripboard layout paper
Pads on the 0.1 inch pitch with a heavier marker every five, for planning stripboard and Veroboard circuits before you cut a single track.

Count in fives or lose your place
Stripboard layouts are described by hole coordinates, and counting to hole 23 one at a time is how errors happen. With every fifth pad emphasised you can count in fives and land accurately, exactly like reading a ruler. Turn on major lines and set the interval to 5.
Mark the track cuts
The commonest stripboard mistake is a missed or misplaced track cut. Mark every cut on the paper plan with a distinct symbol before you build, then check each one off as you make it. A cut in the wrong place means a jumper wire at best and a scrapped board at worst.
Remember the board is mirrored
The copper strips are on the underside and the components on top, so the layout you draw looking at the component side is mirrored when you flip the board to solder. Deciding which way round you are drawing, writing it on the sheet, and sticking to it saves a great deal of confusion at the iron.
Printing it accurately
This only measures correctly if your printer doesn't rescale the page. In the print dialog set Scale: 100% — not "Fit to page" or "Shrink oversized pages". If you're not sure it worked, print the calibration page, measure the ruler on it with a real ruler, and it will tell you exactly what your printer is doing to the page.
