Single crochet is nearly square, and that changes the paper
Tapestry crochet is usually worked in single crochet, which is the shortest of the basic stitches and comes out close to square in the fabric. General crochet chart paper is ruled for taller stitches and would stretch a tapestry design vertically. The cells here are only slightly taller than wide, which is what single crochet actually produces.
Carrying the yarn changes your gauge
Tapestry crochet works the unused colors inside the stitches rather than dropping them, and that carried yarn tightens the fabric compared with plain single crochet in one color. The effect is real enough to matter over a large piece. Swatch in the technique you will use, with the same number of colors carried, then set the cell proportion from that swatch rather than from a table.
Design for the direction you work
Worked in rows, tapestry crochet turns at the end of each row and the color changes step slightly. Worked in the round, as most bags and baskets are, the rows spiral and a vertical line in the chart comes out very slightly diagonal in the finished piece. Neither is a problem, but both are worth knowing before you chart a design with strong verticals or precise lettering.
Printing it accurately
This only measures correctly if your printer doesn't rescale the page. In the print dialog set Scale: 100%, not "Fit to page" or "Shrink oversized pages". If you're not sure it worked, print the calibration page, measure the ruler on it with a real ruler, and it will tell you exactly what your printer is doing to the page.
