Loom work aligns, peyote offsets
On a bead loom each bead sits between two warp threads, and every bead lines up directly above the one below. That gives a straight rectangular grid. Peyote and brick stitch nest their beads into the gaps of the previous row, which is why those charts are offset. Using the wrong one misplaces every second row, and the error accumulates across the width rather than staying local.
Warp count is one more than your bead count
The number of columns in the chart is the number of beads across the finished band, and the loom needs one more warp thread than that to hold them. Set the loom up for the finished width before charting, because adding a warp partway through is considerably worse than redrawing a column. An even bead count also leaves no true center column, which matters for symmetrical designs on a narrow band.
A4 for European bead patterns
Beadwork patterns circulate widely from European and Scandinavian designers and are laid out for A4, so charting on the same size keeps your working charts filing alongside the patterns they came from. Bead sizing is metric everywhere in any case, since seed and cylinder beads are specified in millimeters worldwide regardless of where they are sold. That is why these sheets stay in millimeters rather than offering an inch option the way the knitting and graph papers do.
Printing it accurately
This only measures correctly if your printer doesn't rescale the page. In the print dialog set Scale: 100%, not "Fit to page" or "Shrink oversized pages". If you're not sure it worked, print the calibration page, measure the ruler on it with a real ruler, and it will tell you exactly what your printer is doing to the page.
